It’s a very simple design, it’s made of hard plastic, and it installs super easy! You just peel and stick, similar to how a sticker works. We created a product that eliminates this common problem, and it’s called the Home Button Shield for PS4. There had to be a solution, and if it wasn’t out there, we were going to create it. Still, after lots of research, there was no solution. Heck, you might even be accidentally hitting the home button during your games. There are event inquiries on Reddit with the the subject line reading, “Fix for accidentally pressing of “PS” controller button”. Others were looking for a '“PS4 Home Button Disable” option, which doesn’t exist. Others were trying to find ways of remapping the ps4 home button on the controller, which after extensive research, cannot be done. That seems a little far fetched, but hey, we all hate accidental game interruptions, right? Some people on the internet forums suggested removing the PS4 home button from the controller, as in dismantling the controller and physically pulling out the button. I did however come across many forums where other gamers were mentioning the same problem, but there was never a solution. Not fun at all.Īfter looking EVERYWHERE on the internet for a solution to this problem, I couldn’t find one. And by the time you navigate back into the game, well we all know how that ends up! You’re pretty much dead or you’ve lost the game. If you are not already aware, when you do this on Playstation 4, you get forcefully pulled from your game and redirected to the main menu screen, all the while your game is still live, you’re just not able to see it. They are both the same button but everyone calls the button differently. I find myself either accidentally pressing the PS4 home button or accidentally pressing the menu button while playing my game. Although I love my PS4, and my cool blue controller, there is one issue I found myself to consistently have. It just feels right in my hand and it fits well. I think I need to attribute that preference to the controller layout. I’ve played on Xbox and PC before but for some reason I enjoy playing on PS4 the most. I’ve mostly played on Playstation and that’s all I’ve ever owned when it comes to consoles. But just as a gamer in general, it is always satisfying to find something that may give me an edge on the competition, and peace of mind of course! As a gamer myself, although I’m not the best, I am very competitive. You may be a casual player, a more experienced player, or a very competitive one. Otherwise Portia will always recognize your controller as an Xbox pad.If you’re here, you must be a gamer. However, the player has to disable "controller configuration support" in their Steam settings to make this work. For example if you use a PS4 controller, the game is able to recognize this and displays a PS4 controller in the settings. On PC, the controller diagram depends on what brand of controller the player is using. The image shown here is for the PC version, so it has a "Graphics" options tab that console versions do not have.Left analogue stick: Move player character.Doing so allows the player to set the saturation and value of the hue selected in the outer wheel. On all controllers, the player is able to control the inner square section of the color picker when creating or customizing their character, dyeing furniture with Pigments, or custom coloring wallpaper and flooring by pressing down on the right thumbstick.
